Allow us to introduce ourselves; we're Harris, Zoee, Marley, Buffett and Dylan, the C.E.O.'s (Canine Executive Officers) of Licks and Wags, The Original Canadian Dog Bakery. After months of nutritional research with veterinarians, animal toxicologists and canine nutritionists (and lots of taste testing by the five of us) our Mom and Dad created cookie recipes using only the freshest, most wholesome ingredients available and chose not to add any salt, sugar, additives, preservatives, animal fat or meat products. The result was the beginning of Licks and Wags, The Original Canadian Dog Bakery, which opened to tail-wagging reviews.

We were thrilled at all the press that our dog bakery was receiving. We did television interviews, C.B.C. radio interviews, radio morning shows, and had numerous magazine and newspaper articles written about us. It was incredible to see the popularity that our bakery and our very yummy, wholesome natural dog cookies (that we all had a paw in creating) were getting.

Every Dog Wanted Them!

Whether their humans were Veterinarians, professional trainers, or just dog lovers, the howl for Licks and Wags delicious cookies could be heard throughout the land! Well…OK…at least within barking distance…that is until the first T.V. crew came in, then it was throughout the land!!! And the best part was that our cookies were not only extremely scrumptious but they were also good for us. Even Mom and Dad and many of their human companions eat them too - They are that good!!!

And now, years later, our cookies have gone all over the world, even to places that Mom and Dad have never been to, and many dogs who couldn't eat other treats for different medical reasons are happily and healthily enjoying our Licks and Wags cookies (most of which are very low in fat….and we should know 'cuz we're a svelte pack of puppies and we eat tons of these yummy cookies)!!!

Mom and Dad care so much about not only our health, but the health of all dogs, which is the reason they took the time to research all of the fresh and wholesome ingredients that go into every Licks and Wags cookie through the National Animal Poison Control Center Toxicology lab at the University of Illinois. Mom and Dad do not sell or even bake any cookies until they have researched the ingredients and amounts and continue to do so with every new scrumptious cookie that they introduce. We'd just like to mention one more very important aspect of Licks and Wags Dog Bakery. All five of us, Harris, Zoee, Marley, Buffett, and Dylan were adopted as older dogs by our Mom and Dad from the local shelter. In an effort to help other shelter dogs find good homes Mom and Dad introduced the Licks and Wags Older Dog Adoption Program. Since the start of the program 52 dogs (at time of printing), most of who were going to be euthanized because of overcrowding in the shelter, have been placed in loving homes. Mom and Dad continue to try to help educate humans on proper care, responsibility, and compassion for companion animals and encourage general awareness to help change the abuses that still affect canine livelihood.
